The $64,000 question to most guys about elevators is “Will anyone notice?” With the rider statement that: “No way at all can I take ANY risk that that will happen.”
And that is what often stops people from trying them in the first place.
However many styles and designs you have on your site, many guys have in mind something they do not see there. That special type of boot that they like and would LOVE to have…but in a form that adds height! Much better than stuffing lifts in styles bought from a shop.
Understandably, many guys who want to be taller have spent years dismissing elevators as a non-starter.
Prepare and plan, try out and learn
I just cannot stress how important this is – last week a guy got in touch with me saying, basically, “Adding height doesn’t work, it makes you walk funny, it makes your feet sore and everyone can tell. I tried adding lifts and all I got was sore feet.”.
In my 5 Elevator Commandments http://lealea.ca/bigrobs-five-elevator-commandments/ I talk about lifestyle and making sure that how and when you add height is tailored to how you live.
This is probably one of the total keys to making sure you don’t get detected and to making it work for you. And to looking right in elevators.
The Brits (and other countries who have Brit heritage) call them trainers, while North Americans tend to go with sneakers. They have been the biggest ongoing ‘news’ in footwear for a long time, never ever out of fashion, although styles change a lot and very quickly among those who are well into them. Much hyped and branded, the whole area is confusing for many, even those who know a lot about it.
In BigRob’s Five Elevator Commandments, my number one relates to confidence. I call it ‘the confidence trick’ not because I am being critical of it (I do it myself every day and have done so for 15 years!) but because it is a sleight of hand you have to do with confidence. And it is actually very easy.
Fear of being detected
Unless you are really unusual, or your circumstances are different, the number 1 fear you will have about adding height is detection.
I work in nightclub promotion and I get the opportunity to observe loads of people in situations of real competition. And I have to tell you that I know very few guys who would NOT like to add several inches to their height. The very ultimate max. Whatever the height, they want to be taller. Waaaay taller. The amazing thing is, this very often applies to even very tall guys. Indeed like myself.
One of the big things about getting elevators right is to make them look as natural as possible, above all in terms of styling. It is absolutely crucial that quality and up-to-date trends HAVE to be taken into account.
So here are BigRob’s Five Elevator Commandments. A summary of all the stuff that I think you should (and should not!) do. And be aware of. Wearing height enhancing boots and shoes gives you a terrific buzz and doing it right makes it risk free. In future posts I will expand on my 5 Elevator Commandments (and hopefully one day star in the film) because each of these is the key to getting the best out of adding height all the time, and whatever your lifestyle.
My story is simple. I’ve had 15 years experience of adding height, and now regularly get 5″ (12cm) of heightwith no-one noticing. Sounds incredible maybe, but I made all the mistakes along the way. Most of them have been errors made through lack of understanding of the logics of doing it.
